Privacy Policy
How we handle your contact details, project information and drawing files.
Last updated:
PlanToCAD uses the information you provide to assess drawing requests and communicate with you about the requested service. For privacy questions, contact info@plantocad.com.
Information collected
Quote requests include your name, email address, optional company, project description, source type, drawing count, requested outputs, optional software versions, deadline and questions. Uploaded drawings and filenames can contain confidential property or project information.
How information is used
Submitted information is used to review source material, prepare quotes, communicate about projects and deliver agreed drawing files.
Client drawings
Supply only material you are authorized to share and remove unnecessary personal or sensitive details. Drawings are submitted for private source review, not public portfolio use. Publication requires separate explicit permission.
Storage and email
Drawing files are stored privately and inquiry records have restricted access. Internal email notifications contain expiring file links rather than drawing attachments. A client acknowledgment contains the inquiry reference and requested outputs, without reattaching source files.
Security
Credentials remain server-side. The workflow validates request fields, upload names, types and sizes, and restricts file access using expiring signed links. Uploaded files remain untrusted until reviewed; archive contents are not extracted automatically. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Service providers
Vercel provides website hosting and private file storage; Upstash stores restricted inquiry records; Infomaniak provides email. The inquiry database and private file store are configured in Frankfurt, Germany. These providers process the information needed to operate their services. Hosting and email processing are not limited by the file-store location.
Retention
Submitted inquiry records and their uploaded source files are scheduled for cleanup after 90 days. Unfinished inquiries and abandoned uploads are scheduled for cleanup after 72 hours. Cleanup runs daily, so removal is not immediate at expiry. These periods apply to the online inquiry records and source files, not to separate email correspondence, project agreements, provider logs or backups. Contact us about removal of submitted material or related correspondence.
Deletion and other requests
Contact info@plantocad.com to request access, correction or deletion of submitted information, or to ask about other applicable privacy rights. Include the inquiry reference when available. We may ask for information needed to verify that the request concerns your data. You can also raise a concern with your competent data protection authority.
Analytics and operational records
The website has no advertising pixels or analytics trackers. Hosting, storage and email providers may keep operational logs for service operation and security. Short-lived abuse-control counters use hashed identifiers rather than storing raw IP addresses in the inquiry database.
Privacy and service questions
For deletion requests or questions about supplied material, contact info@plantocad.com.
