Technical drawing

Technical CAD drawings for custom built elements

Architecture is our core. We also prepare technical CAD drawings for kitchens, cabinetry, joinery and other clearly defined built elements or components. Send usable references, measurements and the result you need: we review whether the work fits our drawing workflow before quoting.

Suitable source material

  • Hand sketches, measured sketches, PDFs, scans and existing documentation
  • Photographs from several angles, reference images and annotated screenshots
  • Overall and key internal dimensions, with units and a dimension list where useful
  • Specifications, material or thickness information where relevant
  • Markups, known connection requirements and mixed project information
  • A clearly defined drawing requirement and intended use

What we can prepare

  • Plans, layouts and elevations
  • Sections and dimensioned technical details
  • Annotations, material notes and known connection details as agreed
  • Assembly or reference drawings where applicable and agreed
  • Organized PDF documentation and suitable editable CAD files

Examples of technical drawing work

Kitchens and cabinetry

Plans, elevations, cabinet layouts, module dimensions, appliance positions, worktop layouts and joinery details, using defined dimensions and requirements.

Joinery and custom furniture

Wardrobes, closets, built-in cabinets, shelving, storage and wall units, reception counters and custom furniture, documented from agreed references.

Doors, windows and stairs

Plans, elevations, sections and details for defined elements, including dimensioned or assembly-reference drawings where appropriate.

Railings and outdoor elements

Railings, balustrades, pergolas and canopies, with the geometry, dimensions and detail to be documented agreed in advance.

Interior fit-out

Shop fittings, bathroom built-ins, layout details and other interior elements, coordinated with the supplied dimensions and documentation.

Products, components and existing elements

A defined object, component or measured existing element can be reviewed for CAD documentation from sketches, photographs, measurements or specifications. These are examples, not an exhaustive list.

Workflow

From source review to digital delivery.

  1. 01

    Send source material

Send the references, dimensions and intended result.

  2. 02

    Review and scope

We review the task, usable information and missing details.

  3. 03

    Scope and quote

Agree content, scope, compatibility, revisions and a project-specific quote.

  4. 04

    CAD drafting

We draw, redraw, develop or detail the agreed information in CAD.

  5. 05

    Digital delivery

Receive the confirmed PDF and editable files; other formats by agreement.

Deliverables

Editable files and reference sheets.

Output formats

PDF
Drawing sheets for reference and printing
PLN
Archicad file, with version and content agreed

Additional formats subject to confirmation

Drawing information

Architectural plans, custom built elements and technical details: geometry, dimensions and annotations to the agreed level of detail.

Agreed before drafting

Confirm suitability, formats, software/version, units, sheet scales, layers and content before quoting. Not every format suits every project. A PDF is not an editable CAD file; requesting PLN does not automatically include a complete BIM model.

Source quality

What determines the scope and accuracy.

Dimensions and context

Show overall size, key internal dimensions and the surrounding space where relevant. Identify uncertain measurements and references that conflict; photographs alone do not establish exact dimensions.

Drawing scope and intended use

Tell us whether you need a redraw, cleanup, changes, new drawings or additional detail. Drawing development, layouts and design responsibility are agreed separately, alongside the intended use and review steps.

A suitable file set

We confirm the drawing detail, units, scale, layers and software/version before quoting. PDF, DWG and DXF may suit the documentation; PLN is available where appropriate, not as the default for every technical task.

FAQ

Before requesting a quote.

Can you prepare kitchen or cabinetry drawings?

Yes, with defined dimensions and requirements. We can prepare plans, elevations, cabinet layouts, module dimensions, appliance positions, worktop layouts and agreed joinery details. Send the references and intended use so we can confirm the drawing scope.

Can you draw custom joinery or furniture?

We can review wardrobes, built-ins, shelving, reception counters and other custom furniture for technical CAD documentation. Measurements, sketches, photographs and relevant material or connection information help establish what needs to be drawn.

Can you draw doors, stairs or other technical elements?

Doors, windows, stairs, railings, balustrades, pergolas, canopies and clearly defined products or components can be reviewed. Plans, elevations, sections, dimensions and assembly-reference details are prepared where appropriate and agreed.

What if I am not sure whether you can draw my project?

Send a sketch, photographs, measurements, specifications or the documentation you have, with the result you need. We review whether it fits our CAD workflow, identify missing information and confirm scope and compatibility before quoting. A finished drawing is not essential, and review does not mean automatic acceptance.

Do technical drawings include engineering or fabrication approval?

Technical drafting does not automatically include structural, mechanical or electrical calculations, stamped drawings, regulatory certification, authority approval or specialist sign-off. Manufacturing approval, fabrication responsibility and CNC-ready production are not standard promises. Any specialist requirements and design responsibility must be agreed separately.

Can I start without a finished drawing?

Yes. Measurements, rough measured sketches, markups, notes and partial documentation can be enough to review a project. A clearly defined requirement can support new drawings or layouts under a separately agreed scope; a vague idea does not automatically include complete architectural design.

Describe your references and intended result
Which output formats can I receive?

PDF reference sheets, PLN for Archicad, editable DWG and DXF are available by agreement. Other formats require confirmation. We agree software/version, units, scale, layers, dimensions and detail; PLN does not automatically include a complete BIM model.

Are revisions or modifications included?

Included review rounds, corrections and changes are defined in the quote. A change in content or a new layout may require an updated scope and price. No fixed revision count is promised.
