FAQ
Questions about CAD redrawing and plan digitization.
Practical answers about source files, drawing accuracy, outputs and the quote process.
What file types can I send?
You can send architectural PDFs, scans, JPG or PNG images, photos of plans, old drawings, blueprints and measured hand sketches. Clearer source material usually allows a more precise scope and cleaner output.
Choose a service for your source materialCan you convert PDF drawings to DWG?
Yes. Architectural PDF floor plans, elevations and sections can be redrawn into editable DWG or DXF. Vector and raster PDFs are reviewed separately; the scope may require manual redrawing rather than automatic conversion.
Architectural PDF redrawingCan you work from old scans or photographs?
Yes, when essential information remains readable. Faded areas, distortion and gaps are identified during review. Photos should show the complete sheet and, where possible, a known dimension; absent details cannot be recovered automatically.
Digitizing scans and archive plansCan you work from hand sketches?
Yes. Measured sketches, annotated drawings and photographed sketches can be redrawn into CAD. Dimensions supplied by the client are used as the basis for the drawing.
Measured sketch to CAD workflowCan you redraw elevations and sections?
Yes, when elevations or sections are included in the source material and the required level of detail is agreed before work begins.
What happens if dimensions are missing?
Missing information is not invented. If dimensions or building details are unclear, the scope records clarification questions, exclusions or assumptions for your agreement before they are used.
Floor plan scope and source qualityWhich output formats can I receive?
PDF reference sheets, PLN for Archicad, editable DWG and DXF are available by agreement. Other formats require confirmation. We agree software/version, units, scale, layers, dimensions and detail; PLN does not automatically include a complete BIM model.
How is the price calculated?
The quote depends on sheet count, drawing type and complexity, source quality, required detail, deliverables and deadline. Drawing modifications, new layouts and design work are assessed separately when requested.
How the material review worksCan you also modify drawings or develop new layouts?
Yes. Architectural redrawing and plan digitization are our core services. Drawing modifications, new layouts and architectural design work can also be undertaken when separately agreed as part of the scope. Specialist engineering, authority submissions and approvals are confirmed separately.
Our team and project scopeHow should I prepare my drawings?
Send readable originals and all relevant sheets. Include a known dimension or scale reference where available, photograph drawings square-on and mark unclear areas. Related source documents and images can be supplied in ZIP.
Prepare your source drawingsHow long does a redraw take?
Turnaround depends on project scope and source quality. A realistic schedule can be provided after reviewing the drawings.
Can I send several drawings at once?
Yes. Sending all related drawings together helps define the full scope, required outputs and any dependencies between sheets.
How do I request a quote?
Send the drawings, desired output formats, number of sheets and project notes through the quote page. If online submissions are unavailable, use the email contact shown there. After a confirmed submission, you receive an inquiry reference and an email acknowledgment. We review your material, clarify missing information and confirm scope and compatibility before preparing a quote. A request is not an accepted project.
Request a drawing review and quoteAre my uploaded files kept private?
Files are stored privately and accessed through controlled, expiring links, not public file URLs. They are used to review and scope your request; source files are not attached to emails. Tell us about confidentiality requirements. Submitted inquiry records and source files are scheduled for cleanup after 90 days; abandoned uploads after 72 hours. See the Privacy Policy for the scope of these periods.
Do you only redraw floor plans?
No. We also redraw elevations, façades, sections, site plans, roof plans, existing-condition drawings and architectural or construction details, as individual sheets or complete drawing sets.
Architectural CAD redrawingCan I start without a finished drawing?
Yes. Measurements, rough measured sketches, markups, notes and partial documentation can be enough to review a project. A clearly defined requirement can support new drawings or layouts under a separately agreed scope; a vague idea does not automatically include complete architectural design.
Describe your references and intended resultCan I combine different or partly unreadable references?
Yes. Send related PDFs, scans, photographs, sketches and notes together. Mark gaps, differences and which reference takes precedence. We confirm what is usable and what requires clarification or exclusion.
Organize your referencesAre revisions or modifications included?
Included review rounds, corrections and changes are defined in the quote. A change in content or a new layout may require an updated scope and price. No fixed revision count is promised.
I already have a CAD file to correct: can I upload it?
DWG, DXF and PLN are not standard upload formats. Describe cleanup, conversion or compatibility needs in special requirements and contact us before sending files. There is no separate CAD upload workflow.
Discuss your CAD requirement firstCan you prepare kitchen or cabinetry drawings?
Yes, with defined dimensions and requirements. We can prepare plans, elevations, cabinet layouts, module dimensions, appliance positions, worktop layouts and agreed joinery details. Send the references and intended use so we can confirm the drawing scope.
Technical CAD DrawingsCan you draw custom joinery or furniture?
We can review wardrobes, built-ins, shelving, reception counters and other custom furniture for technical CAD documentation. Measurements, sketches, photographs and relevant material or connection information help establish what needs to be drawn.
Technical CAD DrawingsCan you draw doors, stairs or other technical elements?
Doors, windows, stairs, railings, balustrades, pergolas, canopies and clearly defined products or components can be reviewed. Plans, elevations, sections, dimensions and assembly-reference details are prepared where appropriate and agreed.
Technical CAD DrawingsDo technical drawings include engineering or fabrication approval?
Technical drafting does not automatically include structural, mechanical or electrical calculations, stamped drawings, regulatory certification, authority approval or specialist sign-off. Manufacturing approval, fabrication responsibility and CNC-ready production are not standard promises. Any specialist requirements and design responsibility must be agreed separately.
Technical CAD DrawingsWhat if I am not sure whether you can draw my project?
Send a sketch, photographs, measurements, specifications or the documentation you have, with the result you need. We review whether it fits our CAD workflow, identify missing information and confirm scope and compatibility before quoting. A finished drawing is not essential, and review does not mean automatic acceptance.
