Measured sketches to CAD
Turn a measured hand drawing or annotated floor plan into a structured CAD plan. Supplied dimensions, opening sizes and notes determine the geometry and detail; the sketch is a drawing reference, not a substitute for missing measurements.

Workflow
Send sketches, measurements and any relevant notes together.
PlanToCAD reviews completeness and identifies clarification points.
A quote is prepared around the number of drawings and detail level.
The sketch information is redrawn as clean CAD documentation.
You receive the agreed editable and reference files.
Deliverables
Architectural plans, custom built elements and technical details: geometry, dimensions and annotations to the agreed level of detail.
Confirm suitability, formats, software/version, units, sheet scales, layers and content before quoting. Not every format suits every project. A PDF is not an editable CAD file; requesting PLN does not automatically include a complete BIM model.
Source quality
Include overall dimensions and room measurements where possible. Conflicting totals or missing wall thicknesses are raised before the plan is finalized.
Mark door and window positions, widths, room names and relevant changes. Elevations or sections need their own supplied measurements and reference information.
A hand sketch is often not drawn to scale. CAD geometry follows the agreed client measurements; missing sizes cannot be determined automatically from the sketch.
FAQ
Yes. Measured sketches, annotated drawings and photographed sketches can be redrawn into CAD. Dimensions supplied by the client are used as the basis for the drawing.
Measured sketch to CAD workflowMissing information is not invented. If dimensions or building details are unclear, the scope records clarification questions, exclusions or assumptions for your agreement before they are used.
Floor plan scope and source qualityPDF reference sheets, PLN for Archicad, editable DWG and DXF are available by agreement. Other formats require confirmation. We agree software/version, units, scale, layers, dimensions and detail; PLN does not automatically include a complete BIM model.
Send the drawings, desired output formats, number of sheets and project notes through the quote page. If online submissions are unavailable, use the email contact shown there. After a confirmed submission, you receive an inquiry reference and an email acknowledgment. We review your material, clarify missing information and confirm scope and compatibility before preparing a quote. A request is not an accepted project.
