Prepare your files
A clear source makes a better drawing brief.
Send the most readable originals available, with all relevant sheets and the dimensions you know. A little preparation helps us assess the redrawing work accurately.
Send readable originals
Standard source files are PDF, JPG/JPEG, PNG and TIF/TIFF. Use the highest readable resolution available. Send original PDFs rather than screenshots; include all relevant pages, sheets, elevations and sections.
Scan complete sheets
Keep the whole drawing visible, including corners, dimension chains and scale notes. Avoid heavy compression. A clear scan of an old paper plan is more useful than an enlarged, blurred image.
Photograph drawings square-on
Photograph the sheet as straight and perpendicular as practical, with even light. Avoid cropped corners, folds, shadows and glare. A photograph helps explain the drawing but does not replace measured dimensions.
Include a dimension or scale reference
Where available, include at least one known dimension, the original sheet size or a scale reference. For measured sketches, mark overall and room dimensions, wall thicknesses and door/window sizes. Flag measurements that still need confirmation.
Keep related files together
Several source documents and images can be supplied in a ZIP archive. Give sheets recognizable names and identify the current revision. ZIP is a document container, not a standard CAD source format. For existing CAD files, contact us first.
For technical or custom built elements
Include overall and key internal dimensions, sketches and photos from several angles. Annotated screenshots, reference images, dimension lists and specification sheets are useful too. Add material and thickness information and known connections where relevant, plus the drawings and output you need. Flag dimensions still to be checked; photos alone do not establish exact measurements.
Explain the intended result
Tell us which drawings, detail, output formats and deadline you need. Mark unreadable areas, requested changes and which reference takes precedence if files disagree. Measurements, notes and partial documentation are welcome; a finished plan is not essential. New drawings, layouts and design work need a separately agreed scope.
What affects your quote
The quote depends on sheet count, drawing type and complexity, source quality, required detail, deliverables and deadline. Requested modifications, new layouts or design work are assessed separately. There are no fixed packages: send your source material for a project-specific review.
Quote request
Need something drawn?
Send a sketch, reference, dimensions or existing documentation. From architectural plans to custom technical details, we review whether the task fits our drawing workflow and confirm scope and compatibility before quoting.
